Geographic Channels International (NGCI) announces the launch
of Nat Geo Wild on Hong Kong Cable Television. Nat Geo Wild,
the award-winning 24-hour pure wildlife channel will commence
telecast on Hong Kong Cable Television Channel 33 on 1 January
2008. It is the only channel from NGCI that is available
in dual voice track options, catering to both English and
Cantonese speaking viewers in Hong Kong.
Nat Geo Wild is dedicated to the best in wildlife programming,
offering a unique insight into the natural world, the environment
and the incredible creatures that inhabit it. From the remotest
savannah to the forbidding depths of our oceans, Nat Geo
Wild's stunning visuals and compelling storytelling will
offer viewers a rare glimpse into the world of real wildlife.
Speaking on the launch of Nat Geo Wild on Hong Kong Cable
Television service, Mr Zubin Gandevia, Executive Vice President
and Managing Director of National Geographic Channel Asia
said, "We have a long-standing distribution partnership
with Hong Kong Cable Television since the debut of National
Geographic Channel in 1999 and Nat Geo Adventure (previously
known as A1) in 2002. We are delighted to partner with Hong
Kong Cable Television in launching Nat Geo Wild to extend
the channel's distribution in Hong Kong."
